This is the interactive mixed martial arts trainer that challenges users to spar with a video avatar. Used by professional UFC competitors, the commercial-grade trainer is designed for beginners to advanced fighters and lets athletes design a customized full-body workout using the 22"-high LCD touch screen. An on-screen coach talks users through quick four-minute strike, core, and cardio drills that boost strength and conditioning and refine technique, or users can choose to fight the avatar using grappling, wrestling, and jujitsu moves that simulate a bout in the cage. The animated opponent lights up to show where contact was made, and the trainer's seven leather strike pads record each hit to provide instant feedback on accuracy, power, number of strikes, and reaction time. The industrial-strength steel frame can withstand the force of users weighing up to 315 lbs., yet the device's 4' x 4' footprint requires minimal floor space. Trains in traditional and southpaw stances and adjusts to accommodate users 5' 2" to 6' 8" tall.
